As a key element of the Futureminded event framework, our series of Futureminded Masterclasses will provide delegates with actionable market insights and an opportunity to engage in debate with thought leaders in the food, wellness, and hospitality industries. Featuring a carefully curated line-up of speakers, topics to be discussed include expert guidance on how to attract the attention of major retailers and a review of in-depth research into the way in which covid-19 has re-shaped the wellness industry.
Among the most - quite-literally - future minded of these speakers is Ibrahim Ibrahim, who will focus on how the world of work is shifting as a result of a global pandemic and the steps business can take to avoid being left behind. As the CEO of Portland Design, a leading strategic branding and retail design business, he specialises in the concept of future readiness and is a master of rethinking and reimagining every day experience.
An expert in his field, during his 32 years in design consultancy he has worked with clients globally including Mondelez, Nestle, CNN, SSP, Heathrow Airport, Inter Ikea, ECE, Corio, Hammerson, Westfield, British Land, Coach, Selfridges, Harrods, Luxottica, Travelex and Arcadia, among many others.
What to expect?
Futureminded masterclasses are designed to provide ready-to-action insights, thought-provoking solutions and unconventional ideas to help future-proof both established brands and start-ups. After the huge success of his talk at 2019, Ibrahim Ibrahim returns to explain why, in light of a global pandemic, the winners of tomorrow will be businesses that build wellness into the very heart of everything they do, from the spaces they inhabit to the actions they choose to pursue.
Drawing on both his many years of experience, and the most up-to-date research and insights from Portland, he will talk through how businesses can live up to changing expectations: “The future is today. As a business innovation is not what you do, it’s the way you are. It’s not about technology; it’s about anthropology, it’s about people.”
